At the foot of the waterfalls

Maybe it&´s the free holiday style. Or it&´s become trendy and people can really get into the experience. We&´re talking camping holidays, a genuine must do for many tourists - europeans in particular - and in Val Bregaglia there&´s a seriously well-organised structure where they can spend suitably relaxing summer days in the cool of the nearby Acqua Fraggia waterfalls at Piuro. The sector has developed hugely in recent decades and has become key to the tourist economy in many areas. In Piuro, guests at the Acqua Fraggia camp site - managed by Guido Lisignoli - will discover an attractive and well-maintained area, genuine hospitality as well as a full range of suggestions for making the most of all that this most natural of valleys offers. Guido himself brings a lot to the latter aspect, as an expert Alpine Guide he proposes trekking and mountaineering itineraries to any interested guests.

And these have proved particularly popular. Outdoor tourism, camping at Piuro holds a full hand of winning cards: sustainability, experience of the territory, well-being and sociability. The key tourist factor - the valley itself - has for many years attracted visitors from all over Europe and beyond because of its natural beauty, but also its lively and vital community. Local gastronomy and quality services during a sojourn combine to guarantee a highly enjoyable experience. The world of "open air" tourism is certainly looking forward to having its day. Bookings at Guido&´s camp site look very promising and matters seem particularly healthy compared to the adversity for everyone of the last year.
