It’s called “Spluga Climbing” and is the new indoor climbing wall constructed in the municipal gym in Campodolcino. An 18 metre vertical - one of the highest indoor - made of reinforced concrete with a coloured finish, which affords the very same sensations as a real rock wall. The facility provides a range of difficulty levels and is suitable for both beginners and the more experienced climber. Indoor climbing is experiencing enormous popularity.
Suitable for all ages, including the little ones, it improves coordination, strength, elasticity and articular mobility, whilst manifesting both physical and mental benefits. It’s enjoyable and has been compared to a normal fitness workout with the addition of play. An Olympic discipline since Tokyo 2020, the sport not only improves concentration and problem solving but also builds self-esteem. For those who are new to the sport, it’s essential to rely on qualified instructors, specially for beginners, in order to learn the correct techniques. Awareness and proper training are essential to practise this sport safely.
